FRONT LIPO BOARD

A lipo board (sometimes called an abdominal lipo board or ab board) is a firm, flat support panel used after liposuction, tummy tuck, or liposuction procedures to help shape and protect the midsection during recovery.

What It Is

• A post-surgical compression accessory placed between your abdomen and faja (post-surgery compression garment).
• Typically made of rigid yet flexible foam or plastic that is covered in a soft, skin-friendly fabric.

Purpose

1. Even Pressure Distribution – Prevents the faja from creating creases, folds, or indentations on the healing tissue.
2. Prevent Fluid Retention (Seroma) – Helps keep swelling down by maintaining uniform compression.
3. Shape Training – Encourages the abdomen to heal with a flat, smooth contour.
4. Scar & Skin Protection – Stops the garment from rubbing directly on incisions or sensitive areas.
5. Comfort – Provides a layer of padding so the faja feels less restrictive against the skin.

•  Shape: Usually rectangular or contoured to fit the curve of the torso.
• Material: Semi-rigid foam with a smooth, hypoallergenic outer layer.
• Size Options: Some cover the entire front abdominal area, while others are smaller for targeted compression.

How It’s Used

•     Step 1: Put on your compression garment (faja) loosely.
• Step 2: Place the lipo board over the abdomen.
• Step 3: Adjust the garment to hold the board snugly in place.
• Step 4: Wear it for the recommended hours per day (usually most of the day, removing only for bathing or cleaning).
